(Review originally written at 17 December 2004)

There are several things wrong with this very average movie.

The story feels really messy, it was like they were still constantly rewriting the script during filming.

But maybe the biggest problem I had with this movie was the cast. It mainly consist out of unknown actors with as a result that I constantly mix up the characters, mainly because I also never really become interested in them. Christian Slater and Val Kilmer their roles are far too small and unimportant. I have a feeling that the movie could have really used this two big names in a better way, which might also have done some more good to the movie itself.

But yet the movie is very watchable because of one reason; The graphic and original killings in the movie. All of the killings in the movie are extremely graphic and very original in their own way and are something you never thought you would see happening in a movie. I'm not going to spoil any of them for you, it's something you really have to see for yourself...

The movie has some more good moments such as the underwater shooting which was pretty nicely done but overall the movie was not very impressive and the many twists, especially towards the ending are just simply too much to make the movie believable in any way.

A ridicules and pointless movie with some nicely done killings which still makes this movie worth seeing.

6/10
