The story is way too predictable, basically you already know how this is going to end after you've seen the first 5 minutes. Also some of the scene's are way too over-sentimental to make the story feel believable and touching. I mean, Billy and his tough father playing and laughing on the ground? Please...I seriously almost changed channels after that.
Still there are some elements in this movie that prevent this from being a silly over the top drama. The good subtle British humor and atmosphere is one of them. Jamie Bell's acting is the other. This is one tough role for such a young guy and he pulls of more than great.
Watchable but not really that recommendable.
